CO.RA. has released a sterile valve for the interception of small and large tablets, capsules and silicone vial caps.
Its design confirms  the attention CO.RA. pays to operator needs during pharmaceutical and sterile working cycle, especially regarding the cleaning cycle.

The ergonomic components of the valve allow the operator to an easy assembling or disassembling.

The butterfly is AISI 316. The vane is in platinum cured silicone coated AISI 316L , the external surface is flexible and can have slits on both sides for the passage of large tablets or be without slits for the passage of small tablets. Thanks to this characteristic, the product flow can be interrupted without causing damage.

The silicone used is medical grade and is in compliance with the Pharmacopea 21 CFR 177.2600 norm.

 

 

The CO.RA. Tablet Valve offers three different versions: the “H” series with half-bodies in stainless steel AISI 316L and platinum cured silicone coated AISI 316L vane, the external surface is flexible; series “K” with plastic semi-bodies and platinum cured silicone coated AISI 316L vane, the external surface is flexible; series “E” is the economical version, light weight and made of AISI 316L tube with silicone coated vane.
The valve can be operated manually or with a pneumatic actuator.

CO.RA. product’s interchangeability allow the customer to choose two different type of the valve opening system: by handle or by pneumatic actuator in accordance with customer needs.
The CO.RA. Tablet Valve is essential in plants where a careful control of tablet flow is required and it finds its most suitable application on blister machines or on blister machine loading drums and bins.

SIL COMP ATEX

ATEX is the conventional name of the directive 94/9/CE of the European Union for the regulations of equipment destined for to be used in areas that are risky to explosions.
From the moment that the law came into force, CO.RA has adapted all its equipment and handling solutions in such a way to satisfy all the requirements of the Directive to the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries.
To satisfy this need, CO.RA. made a study for the application of its valves in the various classification zones, initially certifying them for applications in Zone 1/21. In 2007 it was decided to implement this certification for the employment in ATEX classified zone 1D/2GD by depositing a Technical Dossier with TYPE CE examination by the notifying board for all the types of valves manufactured.

The careful observation to the current norms in the installations where CO.RA. products are applied, favours the dynamic design of new systems intended to improve the quality of the service offered to its customers. 
For this reason, CO.RA. has decided not to limit itself only to the ATEX certification of the valves, but has continued to certify other products and systems belonging to its range of products, such as the Compensator available for Non classified areas and for ATEX zone 0/20 internally and externally.

The allignment of a pipeline with a machine and besides being used to recover misalignements of the elements to be connected, are necessary also for the connections of vibrating machines, avoiding the transmission of the same in the piping or in machines to be fed.
The compensators can be supplied with coupling flanges MF type or TC type, with measurements that vary from Ø 100 a Ø 250 for the coupling with MF type flanges while for the coupling with TC type flanges they vary from 1-1/2" TO 8".The silicone or PTFE used for the manufacturing of the Compensator is conform to the FDA norms.
Each raw material used for the manufacturing of the product is checked and selected, by qualified CO.RA. staff, to guarantee its customers the respect of the GMP norms. Furthermore to guarantee the traceability and quality of its moulded products such as Gaskets and Compensators, CO.RA. has invested in the construction of a white room expressly for the moulding.
